THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD.

 

Who shall ascend onto the mountain of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place?... He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully. [Matt 5:8] - Psalm 24:3-4.

Sitting out here tonight on a cold tiled slab after a rainy afternoon, I hear the famous cricket sounds in melody with the other night creatures. There's a bit more activity, but here I sit in stillness and quiet. Father, deposit something new, I desire to be with You in this moment. 

Life comes and goes and at the back of my mind I've been giving little attention to the fact that for the Word to say, Do not conform to the patterns of the world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...(Romans 12:2), it already means there is possibility for conforming to carnal patterns. No wonder the Word also says, ye are not of this world...(John 15:19). Therefore, renewing of the mind is a continuous activity and not a one time affair and you're good to go for the rest of your life.

I can't recall how I got here. But I'll share this post because I've read it again tonight and I know I'll need this reminder up ahead; and you know what, so might you.
