RISING TO SETTING.

I visited my best friend one Sunday afternoon... Right from church, I hopped on a bus to a place I'd never been to before; solely depending on the directions my bestie was giving me and the good heart of the bus conductor. That feeling can be anxious sometimes by-the-way.

All in all, I did get where I was going and had a wonderful time with my wonderful meilleure amie (female bestie) and her adorable niece. The home was beautiful and had a really pretty view of greenery, a tranquil neighbourhood, the sky and the sunset. Of course we took photos, even though my camera at the time didn't do the nature justice.

As we watch the sun set, it's never over just because it slowly goes out of sight, we always silently have hope and a certainty that it will rise again the next day.

Seeing this today, I'm reminded of three verses:

~ From the rising of the sun to its setting My name shall be great among the nations, and in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and indeed a pure offering; for my name shall be great among the nations , says the Lord of hosts - Malachi 1:11.

~ From the rising of the sun to the going down of it and from east to west , the name of the Lord is to be praised! - Psalm 113:3.

~ So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honour and glory of God - 1 Corinthians 10:31.

This teaches us that throughout the day, for all of our lives, God's name is to be hallowed as Nathaniel Bassey sang in 'Adonai'. It also teaches us that even watching the sun setting can be unto the glory of our God Almighty.

Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Thy name... surely Your name is great among the nations. May we praise You from morning till night again and again, and may we glorify You always in Jesus name, amen.

Love, Serene Steph,
