DEAR ME, KEEP THE FAITH.
Sometimes all you'll see is a dot of light in the distance in your journey of faith... These were the words of our youth pastor this evening during a Tuesday night prayer and Bible-teaching service. It sparked a sea of intense feelings in me concerning faith. And one of them was writing a letter to you and all the readers who are also 'mes' (you're also a me writing to yourself).
I am more convinced each day that the journey of faith never comes to an end here on earth. Galatians 2:20 reminds us that we have been crucified with Christ and that it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us. And the life we now live in the flesh, we live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.
There may never be clear signboards on the road that show you exactly where to go, spelling out the things to be done and at which given point in life. You may also never begin if you're still waiting for the road to look clear. God wants you to just take the next step.
It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out - Proverbs 25:2
You may possess great things in the place of prayer, but it is faith accompanied with actions that will cause you to enter into all you have possessed (again from our youth pastor).
James 2:17 reminds us that in the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Please don't wait to have everything you need love. Don't wait to get sick to be healthy. Don't wait to have all the equipments to begin those ministries. Don't wait to have money to start writing down those ideas and seeking Divine strategies from the Holy Spirit. Don't wait for him to make a move before you start praying for him. Don't wait for him to ask you out before you prepare to be in a relationship. Don't wait for a large audience and their validation before you start doing what you're supposed to do. Don't wait to be old to start praying.
"If you wait you'll never start, and you'll start when you stop waiting"
The day you realise you received the same Holy Spirit that was in Jesus, the day you gave your life to Christ, is the day you'll realise you had all you needed all along.
Stephanie Ike once said we should make this statement, 'Holy Spirit, You and I can change the world'. So don't wait again, to get to heaven and Father asks you what you did with the Holy Spirit He gave you, and you have nothing to show for it, or you have less than was expected of you by God.
If you have faith, you have already seen what is unseen. I tell myself that Psalm 139:16 is evidence that there is unseen evidence of what is not yet seen. The unseen evidence is the unseen book written for each of us about all our days, and what is not seen is all that was written that is yet to be lived out by us.
In short, even now as I write, I write by faith.
> 2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
>Hebrews 11:1 now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
There is so much potential in you, if you waited to see everything you think you need to convince you that you can do it... you would never start anything. Just ride on the words of God to you. Ride on His convictions, those moments He tags at your spirit and the passionate desires He gives your heart that you JUST CAN'T SHAKE OFF no matter how hard you try. The kind you can run away from like Jonah but can't hide away from because they're always with you wherever you go; because even there, God is with you and you cannot separate God and His desires for you. It is impossible because they are part of Him just like you are.
So I pray that we become like the apostle Paul in the end of our time, when he wrote in his second letter to Timothy saying, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith - 2 Timothy 4:7.
So dear me (me can be you too), HAVE FAITH, AND KEEP THE FAITH.
Love, Serene Steph,

"The unseen evidence is the unseen book written for each of us about all our days, and what is not seen is all that was written that is yet to be lived out by us." that's actually really powerful and interesting
