TREES THEY TALK TO ME.

The February of 2023 had arrived... Exactly on valentine's day, the best program of my young adulthood began at my church. INDA... *sigh* I'll never forget that experience. We were all still fresh in the program and considering I'd been in a boarding high school for the past four years prior to that, my weekly hours before and after the sessions, and my Sundays in church were still alone moments. The alone time I'd say was a good and peaceful one. I guess I've never really been one to rush into making new friends in a new surrounding.

So on one of those days, I as usual sat under a collection of diverse trees under a brilliant blue sky; what an environmental compliment. You should have felt the cool and gentle breeze brush against your still body on the green grass. It felt like the air was teasing me in a playful way or as if to cheer me up. Right there it felt tranquil. O the sound of the multitude of leaves on the trees and the sight of some of them dropping to the earth in peaceful surrender. The temptation to rise and cause them to rustle as I crush them soothingly with my feet was inviting. Or the thought of skipping in a childlike manner along the lawn hopping and leaping away into another unseen world. Were it not for the nature of man that always feels like someone will watch mesmerized and deem me 'cuckoo', believe you me I would be someone else.

Do you relate to this feeling of ecstasy:)?

What I'm saying is, in the sight of God's creation like this, it can be so tempting to loosen levels of composure such that you cannot contain the joy without feeling like a well of fire in you is on the verge of exploding. The joy in that moment is like a child longing to go out and play. It wants out!

Other times it offers peace and stillness in the natural sounds that are actually silence in an essence. So the next time you're in such a presence, recall this moment and remember that God is waiting for you to invite Him into that moment. He earnestly awaits to behold you sweep out your heart and clear it of all matters 'things' and allow Him back in where He belongs. He longs to speak to us and He deeply desires that we dwell in and with Him. Even nature lives to glorify our heavenly Father; God of all glory.

So I wrote this some time when I got home:

And now I write you this with sincere love and full joy in Christ. Be blessed beloved one of God and may you experience, be dipped, fully submerged and swim in the fullness of our Abba (Father), our saviour Jesus the Messiah and our companion and friend the Holy Spirit. God three in One in Jesus name, Amen.

Love, Serene Steph,
