EVEN THERE, IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

Funny how most of my stories begin from church or right after... and this is no exception. I was walking home from church one sweet Sunday afternoon. I was deep in my photography era as you can tell; so much that even my hand looked aesthetic in the visions in my head. It just seemed to blend nicely with the brown ground, scattered bricks and stones, yellow flowers, the cardigan sweater and the finishing touch of the sun's taste on everything.

Even now as I write about this from all those months ago, I can still feel the same peace and contentment. I very much appreciate how simple and nice the day was. I didn't have to be having much going on in my life or around me to find the beauty in the simplicity of the moment. Look, the ground wasn't even mine, and everything there was just for a season. I can bet you if I went back to the same spot today, a lot will have changed. Another photo like this would simply not look the same today as it did then.

And there's beauty in that too. There's beauty in change. Sometimes it looks ugly or straight-away-beautiful, but even there, it's beautiful. In that moment, when there's everything and when there's nothing, it's beautiful. This reminds me of yet another beautiful thing, a verse in the Bible. And it says:

This is what the apostle Paul wrote to his friends the Philippians. Most people recognise the thirteenth verse, but it is better explained in the prior verses in my observation. When we are content with the different states of our lives in their different seasons that God our heavenly Father has placed us in, we find the beauty even in those times and seasons. Very well trusting our Creator and also being able to be who He made us to be because we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength.

I was then able to write this after such a wonderful day:

So dear reader, whether you're trekking or driving, working or resting, travelling or simply living right where you are... whatever you're doing; wherever you're doing it. Always remember this words of Paul as if he's saying them to you too (coz he actually really is).

I pray that Father helps us all by His Holy Spirit to align ourselves wholly to Jesus Christ even as we hope to live each day according to what was written concerning each of us before we even began to live out the first day (Psalm 139:16) in Jesus name, amen.

Remember, Jesus loves you, He sought you and most assuredly died for you.

love, Serene Steph,
